BDNY 2025 brought a surge of energy to New York, and this year, that momentum was felt the moment attendees stepped into our Night Orchid Collective lounge. Designed in collaboration with Brentano Fabrics and Travis Clifton, the space blended artistry, tactility, and modern hospitality cues into an environment that encouraged people to stay awhile. Visitors lingered, sparked conversations, tried out the seating, and truly leaned into the experience.
An Exhibit That Invited People In
Two pieces anchored the outer corners of our space, and together, they set the tone for the entire experience:
The new Lloyd Lounge Chair, designed by Travis Clifton, became the undeniable showstopper. Nearly everyone who walked by reached out instinctively to run their hand along the sweeping curved back — a subconscious invitation to sit. Once they did, the generous proportions did the rest. Upholstered in Stampede in Khaki Campbell by Brentano, the chair became a tactile moment that blended comfort with craftsmanship.
Complementing it was the Elle Modular Collection by Cory Grosser, configured as a long banquette to demonstrate its hospitality-ready flexibility. Known for Grosser’s “happy modern” aesthetic, the angled back, bubbled cushions, and modular ease turned the piece into a natural gathering point. It showed exactly why Elle continues to be one of our most specified lounge solutions.
A Space Built for Hospitality
The Night Orchid Collective featured a curated mix of pieces — Solitaire Ottomans, Cavea Tables, and Christina Tables with integrated power — each contributing to a space designed around real-world hospitality behavior. Designers tested cushions, chatted with colleagues, recharged their phones, and stayed longer than they meant to. That’s the benchmark: furniture that quietly and confidently does its job.
A custom rug featuring Brentano’s artwork, crafted by Divya Rugs, grounded the palette and completed the atmosphere, tying the textures and sculptural forms together.
Attendees Arrived With Purpose
This year, BDNY attendees weren’t simply browsing. Nearly everyone who came into the booth was working on a specific project and actively searching for solutions that balance beauty with practical performance. The interactivity was constant; touching finishes, evaluating ergonomics, asking detailed specification questions. The show had a pulse, and our booth matched it.
What’s Next
The Lloyd Lounge will officially launch soon, alongside coordinating guest chairs and occasional tables, joining the existing Lloyd barstool to form a complete seating family. If BDNY was any indication, designers are ready.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by the Night Orchid Collective. It was a privilege to share what we’ve been building and to see our designs spark new conversations and ideas.
