Shawn Littrell was born in Seattle, Washington, and spent his formative years in the southwest living in Santa Fe, New Mexico. In 2001 he began attending Art Center College of Design where he received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design. Littrell has won several awards for his designs in office furniture.
